In every case: dual suction (surface skimmer + bottom drain), compliance with French health-authority (ARS) requirements (regulated chlorine + filtration), standard plumbing connections (3/4" for catalogue models, Ø 50 mm for intensive use), remote WiFi control and monitoring. The plant room must be air-conditioned; plumbing and electrical connections are carried out by your own contractors.

Case study: Maison Villeroy, Paris 8th
At 33 rue Jean Goujon, just steps from Avenue Montaigne, Maison Villeroy entrusted PolarPlunge with installing a cold plunge pool in its Haussmannian inner courtyard, alongside a bespoke outdoor sauna. The wood tank and sauna were designed to blend into the cut-stone architecture of the site without altering the paved courtyard, with a remote chiller unit kept out of earshot. Case study: Cheval Blanc Courchevel
In the resort of Courchevel 1850, the Cheval Blanc hotel integrated a PolarPlunge cold plunge pool into its spa area, in an outdoor extension overlooking the slopes. The wood tank blends into the stone-and-wood architecture typical of the resort's chalets, for a hot/cold contrast journey designed for a winter-sports clientele used to the standards of alpine palace hotels.
Maintenance and service
PolarPlunge warrants components for 2 to 5 years depending on the part and guarantees spare-part availability for at least 10 years. A monthly maintenance contract (water and filter changes) is offered with our partner technicians; one-off call-outs are billed at a flat rate. Technical support is available online and by phone, with escalation to a technician within 2 business hours.
Frequently asked questions
How much electricity does a hotel cold plunge pool use? Between 7 and 12 kWh per day, depending on the water-renewal settings, the plant room's temperature and how intensively the installation is used.
How much water does it use? Automatic renewal replaces a fraction of the water on each cycle instead of a full drain. With a renewal of 30 L per plunge (compliant with ARS standards) and 20 plunges per day, that comes to around 600 L of water per day.
Does the pool comply with regulations for venues open to the public? The pro configuration includes regulated chlorine and filtration compliant with ARS requirements; the maintenance protocol is handed over at commissioning.
What is the lead time between order and commissioning? 8 weeks for the catalogue range, 14 weeks for the intensive PRO range, excluding plumbing and electrical works, which are your responsibility. Some Ultimate and Barrel models are available in 2 to 3 weeks depending on stock.
What warranty applies? 2 to 5 years per component, spare parts available for at least 10 years. Call-out labour is billed at a flat rate.
Can you install a cold plunge pool outdoors or on a rooftop? Yes: stainless-steel and Handmade tanks are available in outdoor versions; the chiller can be installed remotely. A crane or specific access is quoted separately.
